Crystal Ball: A Webcomic

Hello hello~ I know it’s Thursday, bleh, but here is a picture of Shadow I made a little while ago! I’m currently working on making a print version of Crystal Ball, and in the mean time I’m scrounging up art I’ve had floating around that I haven’t had a chance to post here. A lot of it can be found on my Instagram (@azyzl), but I’ll also be posting it here!

Additionally, I’ll be posting some lore/worldbuilding-related things as well… while it all is eventually explained in the comic itself, nothing will be be a spoiler

Anyway, enjoy Shadow… I’ve gotten into Copic markers lately, like obsessively, and this was the first picture I made for my practice notebook. Of course, after making this all I could think was “welp, I have no idea how I’m going to top this” but since then I’ve definitely made some decent stuff!

  Thanks, and I really enjoy worldbuilding as well! The difficulty comes when you want to tell readers things in-story, but have to hold back so it doesn’t become too blatantly explanatory, you know?

    Yeah, I know. On the one hand, you’ve got a built-in foil in Thali who can ask the relevant questions, but on the other, you have to avoid the “wall of words”. It’s quite a tightrope act, and I sympathize, but you’ve done really well so far, so I have faith in you.

Copics are the best!!! I’ve been loving getting to use mine more for comics. I like it!

  I’ll have to admit, watching you speed paints are what finally pushed me to start buying them. You always get such vibrant colors! I needed to try them! And now I’ve fallen in the deep, colorful and very expensive hole of alcohol-based markers 😐
